1713 – Barcelona: Antoni Berenguer, military leader of the Generalitat, manages to break the naval blockade of the city imposed by the armies of Felipe V of Castile during The Siege of Barcelona.
1835 – Ripoll: Sacking and destruction of the monastery and all the historical, political and cultural patrimony it contained, including the tombs of the first Catalan counts.
1936 – Road from Tortosa to Barcelona: The Amposta politicians Joan Palau i Miralles and his son Joan Palau i Mayor are murdered.
