A Fira de Nadal in the Heart of the Eixample
The area outside the Sagrada Família becomes a Christmas postcard thanks to the Fira de Nadal or Christmas Market, which this year will be outside Gaudí’s iconic temple from November 26th to December 23rd.
The Sagrada Familia Christmas Market, which was first held in the 1960s, is now one of the Christmas Markets with most tradition in the Eixample District, and now has around a hundred stalls organised in four sectors.
If you visit the Sagrada Familia Christmas Market you’ll find figures for the pessebre or nativity scene, Christmas trees and plants and other decorations as well as handicraft presents and local foods so you should be able to find everything you need.
The Fira de Nadal de la Sagrada Familia is open from 10 in the morning until 9 at night and there is a lovely atmosphere both throughout the day and in the evening.
