Located on the section of the fabulous Passeig de Gràcia in the Dreta de l’Eixample, Five-Star Majestic Hotel & Spa is one of Barcelona’s few Gran Luxe (GL) or Great Luxury establishments.
Housed in a historic neoclassical building on the corner of Carrer de Valencia, the Majestic is a short walk down the hill from Gaudí’s La Pedrera and almost immediately opposite the Manzana de la Discòrdia, which includes three of Barcelona’s greatest Modernista buildings.
It is also excellent for public transport with Diagonal and Passeig de Gràcia metro stations both within walking distance and even closer is Passeig de Gràcia railway station, which has a direct train service to Barcelona Airport, although as the Majestic has its own car park, you might consider hiring a car in Barcelona.
The rooms and suites at the Majestic are beautifully decorated and furnished in a classical style and offer all the comforts one would expect from a hotel of this calibre and the hotel also offers a number of luxury self-catering apartments.
The hotel has a number of halls and meeting rooms making it ideal for business conferences and corporate events and it is often used as the scene of press conferences by political parties and sports clubs.
The spa includes steam bath, sauna and various beauty treatments and on the roof the terrace has a swimming pool with spectacular views out over Barcelona City Centre, which becomes the celebrated Dolce Vitae cocktail bar in summer.
Under the world famous chef Nando Jubany, the Restaurant del Majestic offer the Majestic Hotel Experience in the morning and the gastronomic delights continue with Jubany’s inventive fusion cuisine throughout the day.
